Aesop Oak Brook celebrates the revolutionary use of fire-resistant baked earth as cladding for the steel frames of high-rise buildings in Chicago following the Great Fire of 1871. The ribbed clay tiles of the facade, with their play of texture and shadow, highlight the natural warmth of terracotta, while modular bricks are featured throughout the interior avoiding excess ornamentation.
