Located on a square corner lot in the Lower Highlands neighborhood, twenty-five residences organized in three volumes are carefully integrated into the existing urban fabric. Context and scale along with a sensitivity to dwelling patterns gave shape to the project. Stoops and elevated gardens establish a pedestrian scale where the buildings border the street. At the corner, a shop for a local food purveyor provides a social space and complements the neighboring restaurants, while a pocket park buffers the adjacent single family homes. Entering the site, ten townhouses are arranged around a courtyard that provides a place of respite, buffered from both streets and softened by landscape.
