Innovative patterned glass manufacturer, Skyline Design, invited our studio to collaborate on reenvisioning their Merchandise Mart showroom for NeoCon 2018. The design encompasses the overall showroom configuration, with a focus on Linework, a new glass collection by Gensler.
The showroom design is composed of five 20 foot by 20 foot bays. The front three bays are dedicated to featuring the latest glass collection. The fourth bay functions as service, storage and display of the patterns and techniques. The fifth bay is used as display, office and meeting space. The space between a 20 foot bay also allows for a group of 16-24 people to gather, seated. An eight-foot datum for the exhibit components unifies the installation, avoids ductwork, and allows for the reuse of framing and glass panels from the previous showroom installation
